Big Wins from OpenFin

OpenFin was founded with a singular mission: to fundamentally revolutionize the financial desktop and transform how organizations collaborate and innovate. This year, our efforts toward this goal were reaffirmed as OpenFin was honored to receive an array of industry awards highlighting our work in several areas, including product innovation, executive investment and DEI efforts.

Since its launch in 2021, OpenFin Workspace has been adopted by many of the world’s top global banks and asset managers as their core enterprise framework. Our system is highly intuitive, empowering firms of all sizes with a best-in-class solution that enables third-party applications to easily integrate into their customers’ internal environments. This year, OpenFin was named “FinTech of the Year” by the US FinTech Awards for the success of Workspace. We were also awarded the title of “Best Overall Fintech Company” by the Fintech Breakthrough Awards, which recognize cutting-edge products in the global financial services and technology industry. With an additional win at the WatersTechnology AFTAs for “Most Innovative Third-Party Technology Vendor – Infrastructure”, as well as the continued widespread adoption of Workspace, we are excited for the future of this product and its continued impact on how our diverse industry operates.

Unquestionably, our people are our biggest asset, and it is crucial that we treat them as such. We strive to highlight their accomplishments frequently, bringing to the forefront voices that too often go unheard. OpenFin’s strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts shone through with our various award wins this year. Vice President and Global Head of Marketing Mitra Roknabadi received the “Best Vendor Partnership/Alliance Professional of the Year” award from the WatersTechnology Women in Tech and Data Awards for her “outstanding levels of value and service through an alliance or partnership with another third-party technology/data firm.” Mitra has worked tirelessly to emphasize innovation, initiative and leadership in conducting OpenFin’s global marketing and communications campaigns and engaging with OpenFin’s user ecosystem.

In addition, EMEA Sales Director Olivia Mitchell won the “Rising Star” award at the U.S. Fintech Awards. A keen promoter of DEI within fintech, we are honored to support her goal to help increase the 19% female representation within the industry. At OpenFin, Olivia has done an exemplary job growing our ecosystem across the sell side, the buy side and software vendors alike. She is often present at industry and networking events, where she has been successful in engaging several of the world’s leading financial institutions in conversations around OpenFin’s technology for employee productivity.

Of course, any firm’s success radiates the top down. Another award win went to Mazy Dar, Co-Founder and CEO of OpenFin, who was named a “Top 50 Financial Technology CEO” by The Financial Technology Report. Under his direction and exceptional leadership, we have closed four investment rounds with many of the most respected VCs, strategic and angel investors in the space, including Wells Fargo, Barclays, J.P. Morgan and Bain Capital.

Starting off 2023 strong, OpenFin won the "Best User Interface Innovation” category at the Risk Market Technology Awards, published on January 25, 2023. Our mission to continue to offer new developments to Workspace, with components like Notification Center, further showcase our commitment to enhance workflow productivity and customer experience.

OpenFin is humbled and grateful to receive this recognition for our efforts around revolutionizing the financial markets through both our products and our obligation to our people. As the year draws to a close, we look forward to further developing the workspace connectivity and modernization required to take the industry to the next level.
